forced download

I have no luck forcing a HS17 download. Whats the trick?

The last I knew you have to be on a list to get a forced download unless it is a national release. In that case, it's only available within a certain time frame.

Ah, yes. That's not yet available via forced DL

So there is a confirmed routine, I know earlier it wasn't working.

Suggest before doing a forced down load on the HS-17 - First remove the internet Connection -then start the download*that's) the missing step - If you are wireless -Remove the settings before reboot - If wire-Unplug the lan cable

Add client button is the button on top

It will actually attempt the download via internet if you have a wired connection

I didn't hold the button down, just a poke. I will give your method a try

WHILE solid white. Once it turns white THEN hold button down UNTIL it starts blinking.

After reset, the top light turns white and you hit and hold the button until the white light starts blinking then release the button. I think we are both saying the same thing.

Hi All
I gave it one last chance and the new software downloaded. I got "1001".

I got that last night without forcing it.

I was able to d/l 1001 to my hr44 this morning as well .... then off to work so I have no idea if anything has been changed.
