Went to Best Buy to try and buy a HD-Tivo with one of the 50% off coupons. They were sold out. 
They had a store display for a HD Directv receiver, non-tivo, for free with a $300 mail in rebate. It specifically said on the sign new or existing customers. I'm not sure if it is just a local thing or not.
