Anyone else having this issue?
I had this happen last year end of basketball season & corresponded with Josh M. It started last Aug/Sept with MLB Extra Innings DVR playbacks. Was hoping it was resolved this season when MLB XI was reactivated but seems to have reappeared I have Hopper3 running H392.
At the time Josh advised:
"We have an open defect that engineering is working on for the MLB extra innings issue. There's currently not really a workaround - but you can try holding down fast forward instead of trying to skip forward...but no guarantees that works."
This issue started happening with update H380 last baseball season.
It is only isolated to DVR playback of MLB Extra Innings channels 476-xx.
The FFWD function will not work to advance forward in the playback of the game once the recording is completed. I can watch the playback. It does record and is there in full - but as soon as I hit the FFWD it brings it goes immediately back to the beginning or the end of the recording and there is no way to move forward. Each press of FFWD brings it to start or end.
I suspect that there is some type of data error in the end of recording that DVR software is not reading correctly. The reason I say this is because, if I watch the game in playback mode (while the game is still being recorded) it works fine. I can FFWD and it works fine. I can leave and come back to resume and it picks up where I left off, and I can FFWD -but only if the games is still being broadcast.
Once the game is completed and signs off, the FFWD option is no longer functional.
Meaning, if I record the game the full 5 hours and attempt to watch it next morning, I can't FFWD.
It also works if I stop recording the game early (like in the 9th inning before it ends), I can resume later on & FFWD, or I can watch it next morning, no problem at all other than I miss the end of the game.
I have tried adjusting the timers to start & end 0 minutes early/later – still same!
