Ok I've had the hopper since Saturday if u leave the prime time anytime disabled will u have more hard drive space?

The PTAT recordings are stored on the customers portion of the hard drive, so yes. But you can also change PTAT settings to only record the stations you want and set them to delete after X amount of days.

If PTAT is disabled, yes.

With 1.2TB of space available for the user I find it hard to fill the HD. I have PTAT enabled, 116 HD recordings saved, and am only using 30% of my partition.

My wife finds it pretty easy to fill up any size hard drive.
