I upgraded to the HD package and D* sent me the Samsung TS 360. Not my perfered model but didn't have much say in the matter. If I have the receiver set on 1080i mode all the time how much picture quality will I lose when the signal is sent 720p then converted up to 1080i? Also, if anyone has this model what setting do you have it set on Native 1, Native 2, etc.....Thanks. I don't know if it matters but I am using Y,Pb,Pr connections and I have a 4:3 tv.

I do not know much on that model but if is anything like the vast majority of other HD receivers I would set your it to the NATIVE mode that allows it to pass along what ever resoulution comes in.

thats a tough one to answer because everyone has a different opinion.. some say 1080i is better some say 720p is better.. your milage will vary.. on my hughes, I leave it set to native so if its 720p the box passes it on and the tv converts to 1080i and if its 1080i, the box passes it on.. both look outstanding and I cant really see a noticeable difference in the two..

I had mine on native until I went to ESPN-HD and my guide went to half it's size, so I switched it to 1080i.
