I am setting up a motorized dish. I am using USALS. Do I aim the dish due south or do I still aim at my south satellite? If I am at my south satellite, how does the USALS software know where I am starting from on the arc??
My zip code is 02494 (near Boston).
My motor is the Jaeger Superjack DG 120+.
Are they U bolts that you are tightening? Are you sure you are not crushing the tube or bending the brackets? I ended up cutting off the top section of my mast and welding on a 1/8" wall tube to mount the motor. The muffler tubing thin mast that comes with Digiwave dishes is very easy to crush while tightening the motor mount.
WESCOPC-- the motor came with essentially no instructions. I do not know the angle you asked for. Can you give me a step-by-step (using 1.2 and not USALS) without it? I can find my south satelllite AMC6 and peak it as a starting point, can't I?
The problem is that you need to scan both elevation and azimuth. Much like searching for a needle in a haystack.WESCOPC-- the motor came with essentially no instructions.
