Ever since the last major software upgrade, Prime Time often fails to record. The system is shut off at night for it's daily download, but somehow it seems the Hopper fails every few days to acquire the signal needed to start recording. The times that I've hard reset the Hopper before prime time recording, it shows a lack of signal message that eventually goes off when I start to fumble with the channel controls. If I reset it after Prime Time has failed to record, it initially shows me am unauthorized channel warning for all channels which eventually goes away to show the channel lineup and start recording. Missed recording many programs in full this way. I've had my Hoppers replaced, the system rewired and after complaining for almost six months with customer service, they told me I'm not the only one with this problem, which they acknowledged was a programming bug and that there was nothing that I or they (the customer reps) could do until Dish took it's sweet time to fix the bug. It's been over three weeks now, and it's getting worse. I pay almost $200 a month for my Dish system and consider I should be treated better than this. Unfortunately there are no good alternatives to Dish Network in Puerto Rico.
