HR10-250 Compatible DVD Recorder!?

Hi guys. This is my first post here and I hope someone can help me out.

I have the D* HR10-250 HD-DVR and would like to clear my drive of saved programs by dubbing them to DVDs. I have tried 2 different DVD recorders with no success. I couldn't get either DVDR to receive any signal at all from the DVR...even my OA locals won't come through from the DVR.
The HR10-250 has 3 outputs; HDMI, Component, and Composite. I am using the composite output on the DVR to the Line 1 composite input on DVDR. I also tried using the composite output from my TV with the same result...GRAY SCREEN. I know I can't record in HD but that's okay...I just don't want to lose these programs.

My VCR/DVD combo comes through fine using this connection.
My OA locals also come in when ANT line is connected to the DVDR.

The two DVDRs I've tried are: Magnavox MRV640 and Sony RDR-GX315.

Can someone give me a clue here?
Maybe point me to the right DVDR to use for my situation...if there is one.
Is there a compatibility list available somewhere?

I experienced a similiar issue. You will have to set the output to 480 from 1080i

Make certain the HR10-250 output is set to 480i.
Any other setting and nothing comes out of the composite jacks.
