My current setup is a H10-250 in the living room with a D10 (I think....it's a recent SD receiver) upstairs in my bedroom.

Having a new 5LNB dish and HR20 installed in the living room tomorrow. Planning on moving the H10-250 upstairs and letting the installer take the SD receiver with him as the exchange on the HR20.

The problem....I have only 1 coax running upstairs. Since the H10-250 is dual tuner and requires 2 inputs for that function to work, can I use a multiplexer as a sort-of splitter that will let me run 2 coax to the H10-250?

- If I can, what brand and model should I look into.

- If I can't, I'll just suffer along with the single input. I rent this place and am not about to go running cables through the walls.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Would be much appreciated, thanks.

No, you can't use any type of multiswitch/splitter/diplexer to create a second input (At least not without causing signal problems)
bummer....that's too bad. oh well, at least I can still get use out of the DVR function, just not be able to watch a diff program than the one that's recording.
