* Manual recording (improvements to prioritizer functions and scheduler)
* Stability

Updated

* Erroneous LED activity on the front panel
* Keep or Delete at the end of single show after having used group play
* Prioritizer count (8 of 7 will not longer happen)
* Direct channel tune no longer needs ENTER (Re: The banner timing out before the channel changes)

New feature(s)

* DIRECT Media Manager with updated user interface (Formerly known as ViiV)
* IAMANEDGECUTTER New Option - Fast Forward correction to compensate user response time when pressing PLAY key
* FF Autocorrection has been tweeked, based on user feedback
* HD Icon on programs in all lists (e.g. search results)

Notes

* There are a series of other fixes based on feed back on the last CE... no specific items to list though
* At this time I do not have a list of the items in this release

You should monitor the announcement at dbstalk to see if the CE is actually going to happen, and then if you do download the CE make sure any issues are logged in the issues thread there also. As the post says, you need to understand the CE process, the potential risks and that there is no support from DirecTV on these releases. Read this before you download any of the CE releases. That said, this CE release should just be a refinement on the previous one and is therefore thought to be of low risk. Some CEs for the HR20 have been known to completely delete people's recordings so if your wife (or you) have several episodes of Grey's Anatomy still to watch then maybe it's not a good idea to download ANY CE release!

No it's a new one. Basically a refinement of the last one - some changes to the autocorrection based on user feedback, some other modifications as a result of comments/bugs found in the last CE release.
We might know more just before the CE release is first available on Friday night.

Folks you dont necessarily have to go to DBSTalk to register your issues or see the risks and how to download. Directv reads these as well so if you are a Sat Guy, you can follow the CE process here as well as report any issues or feedback.

Yes in fact we are working with DirecTV and they seem to like that DBStalk is more official (and stern) with their CE ctuff and they also enjoy the fact that we are more relaxed with it here.

SInce they watch both sites closely, they are able to better guage of whats going on by the feedback of both communities.

Other Sites
If anyone out there decides to "spread the word" about this or any other CE version.
PLEASE !!!!! Include a link back to it's announcement thread.
As I have seen some of the "announcement posts" on other forum boards... and all the disclaimers and warnings, are not always there.
They are just as important as the opportunity.


What I think is important is the improvement on the Key press robustness (against key bounce).

Is D* also providing you info on the CE availability schedule along with the other site or do we still need to keep track of things over there, like changes in the probability which appears to be more up to date overthere?

We monitor the over there so with some delay, what you see there, you see here. So far, no update to the probability but cancels would occur by now if they were to happen. So we look like a go for tonight.

No we are relying on Earl for the updates. However I do expect this to change in the future as I am working on a few things.

The chat room on DBSTalk says there is a problem with the HR20 CE streaming at the moment.

If you start to try to download, RBR before 90% to stay at current level.

Will post back when chat room says it is available.

I reset at 50%. Waiting for confirmation to try a download again. Do as BruceS suggested and RBR if you dont want to revert to the national release.

I betcha this is the most excitement with this release. I think its just some very small tweaks but sure as heck gave us a scare. I would hate to revert back to the national release. Download away.
