Bequia, The Grenadines, WI
I'm wanting to get satellite internet (and hopefully video) on the southern Caribbean island of Bequia, in the northern Grenadines (13°1'39.00"N, 61°12'42.22"W to be precise). I've been told that some folks on the neighboring island of Mustique have DirecWay/HughesNet, and I'm wondering if that's doable. I'm trying to find out whether there's an HN satellite that covers me and that I have a clear shot to (pretty clear to the south and west, a big hill to the east), what size dish I'd need, etc. I'm pretty sure I can self-install, although I need to research that some more to be sure.

I saw the prior Caribbean thread at http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=65952, and I'll follow up with some of the providers listed on http://www.satsig.net, but from previous research they tend to be commerical, high-price VSAT providers. I'm hoping if I can make HughesNet work then it will have much lower entry and recurring costs.

Thanks for any help!
