I need a good web photo gallery software

anyone know of a good, easy to use, software to create photo galleries on a website? the photos are large file usually around 4mb.

An online service or a tool to U/L to your own website?

I know Shutterfly.com has a good tool, just not sure if its only for their free online service and Coffeecup makes dang good software for the average user's personal sites:

A great free solution is Gallery | Your photos on your website . I have used Gallery for a few years and have never had a problem. It's both easy to administer and modify.

i have a site and space to hold the files on their server. I am looking for a tool to make the large files into thumbs ideally so people can browse them, then download the ones they want.

I use PhotoShop. PhotoShop Elements (the free one) might have the option as well.

Picasa also creates decent web albums that you can then upload.

Gallery will create the thumbnails and allow for downloads. Read about it.. I love it.
