I notice most of the shows that the Genie recommends are no where near what I'm interested in...

• Use your down arrow key to highlight Genie Settings.
• Here, you'll have the option to turn Genie Recommends on or off.

I don't even notice My DIRECTV anymore. Occasionally when it goes missing, I got to question myself on how long it been missing.

Personally, I think it is a waste of the Genie's very limited memory. They should dump it and give us back control of the PIG when we are in the GUI.

Maybe for you, but not for me. Not even close to anything I would watch. I turned that feature off when I was using a Tivo.

Tivo seemed to think that I spoke Spanish.

I really was thinking of the "My DirecTV" main page "you might like" list. I try not to watch porn, for I'm a Christian. So I'd rather watch religious programming, as long as it's not from some false prophet. Although, I do fail in my convictions and yes I have had the occasional blip and only glanced at porn. I'm not perfect.

Now that I'm no longer confused on what "Genie Recommends" is, I thought I'd give it a try. I turned it on a few days ago, but to my understanding (I might be confused again) it's on the My DirecTV page. I don't see anything. I just tried to turn it off and back on, and am waiting to see what happens, but am I doing something wrong?

When you first hit menu the recommendations will be on the bottom right side. If they aren't there try rebooting and waiting a day or two.
