The AMC4 KU-band North and South American beams are not steerable and should remain similar to the footprints provided when it was at the 101w position.
Are there any active transponders on the Satellite now?AMC4 is now licensed at 67w for KU-band operation.
Doesn't mean it's got to be in use, just operational. I think they moved amc4 there so the SA countries retain control of the orbital position.International Telecommunication Union (ITU) of Geneva, has been reserved for Ku-band frequencies and has a good angle of view on the Americas and the Caribbean. However, the Andean group's rights to develop the slot expire in September unless a functioning satellite is placed at the slot before then. >>SES To Develop Slot for Andean Nations | SpaceNews.com
