BTW Great Site!

I have read about SWM LNB's failing, I have a green label single port SWM LNB, is there a more reliable LNB that I should purchase?

LNB failures are very rare, unless there is an obvious crack in the LNB cover with water inside, most people who post thinking they have a faulty LNB eventually discover it's a different problem.

I have not had a failure, I was reading on another satellite forum that there was a concern. I have had numerous other LNB's (18") and have always had spares, just in case.
This setup is for my RV and I would hate to have a failure on the road. If I were to purchase a spare, would you have any prefences or just grab a similar one of off eBay?

As an installer I was often instructed to take down functional equipment (EQ). I occasionally did that.... but I always sorted "known to be good" electronic components and discarded any failures. Gear (EQ) either fails out of the box due to the quality control formula...or it runs until damaged. So I always rotated my stock. I never, ever, one time had to go back and repair a "known to be good' LNB, ground block, cable or fitting. Also, out of the box failures were very rare.

So my suggestion would be to acquire Ditectv EQ at yard sales....test it...new and good used are =.

Basically, this is the response I was hoping to hear, I do appreciate all of the feedback in regards to my concerns.
