Local channel picture issues

Anyone (especially in the Hartford market) notice over compressed HD locals. And studdering aka dropped frames...

The frame issue is giving me headaches. And the lower pq is just strange with DirecTV. Oh and I'm peaked around the low to mid 90s.

I've got the 1st generation hr34 genie setup.

Its been doing for well over 2 months... But getting worse. Even my better half complained to me, and she typically doesn't get bothered by this sort of stuff.

It may well have been going on for that long. I don't watch much network tv, so I haven't noticed it that much.

OTA has been fine for me. In fact I have switched over a couple of times when I noticed the stuttering.

Gotcha. Some times I get mad at the satellite feed only to find the same thing on the OTA feed with a different DVR.
