This is not true (unless they change it so you can see it after they "officially" announce that they are available) as Grand Rapids, MI locals were switched from unavailable to available today, but channel 75 is still saying "Not Available in your Area".Everyone is getting that, if your locals are really coming it will show you info as to what or if you have to do to get them. If not, then you get the "Not Available in your Area" message.

As of right now, channel 75 is still saying that it is not available in my area, even though they were made available almost 24 hours ago.Since press releases come the day after they are active, I would expect channel 075-00 to do the same. This is the reason Dish put the channel up but Dish has messed up before.
I would like to see HD locals in Cincinnati.:up That way I can record 2 local HD channels at one time or maybe 3. - 2 off of satellite and one through over the air digital. Channel 9 WCPO broadcasts in HiDeff. WKRC, WXIX-Fox 19 and WLWT are not in HD yet. What satellite would Cincinnati have HD locals on? 61.5? If we get them.
Wrong. WCPO (9.1) is not the only Cincinnati station broadcasting in HD. WLWT (5.1), WKRC (12.1) and WXIX (19.1) are all HD, as well as PBS (48.1) and WSTR (64.1). All the majors in Dayton are in HD as well (2.1, 7.1, 14.6, 16.6, 22.1, 45.1), including CW (26.1).
I'm not quite sure why you think WCPO is the only station broadcasting HD.
Grand Rapids, MI HD Locals were made available Wednesday afternoon. Channel 75 is still saying that it is not available in this area, so unless they just suddenly lift the "blackout," I believe that those that can see it will be able to and those that can't (as of now) will not be able to see it even after HD Locals are available.Since press releases come the day after they are active, I would expect channel 075-00 to do the same. This is the reason Dish put the channel up but Dish has messed up before.

Very frustrating! I just got off the phone with DishNetwork's Customer "service" line..and was given the same old BS line...
"We have no way to know when HD channels will go live in Cincinnati - I show no launch date...and I can't do anything to remove that channel."
IN FACT: They don't even show a banner channel as being live in Cincinnati!
My contention was that either a) the banner channel lauch was a misconfiguration/mistake and should be removed or b) locals aren't available on my TV yet, and they should be. They are freakin' clueless at customer service, and can't do anything to help in situations like this. Hopefully they'll go live soon.
