Ok, I got a coolsat 8000 that I planned to slave off my Traxis 3500 on my motorized setup (SG2100).

In doing testing yesterday, I could not get the motor to move with the slave setup (3500 drving the motor).

So I disconnected everything and hooked the 8000 up the motor directly and still nothing. So I did just the 3500 and it worked for a bit then stopped.

So, confused, I grabbed my stab90 that I still have in the box and hooked it up just ont he desk and the 3500 would drive it, but not the 8000. So I hooked the traxis back up the SG2100 and still nothing, but motor has power and moves if I press the button on the motor itself. 8000 also provides power to allow the button to move the motor.

So I hooked the stab90 back up to both receivers and neither would move it now.

So I am confused and I'm sure this post is confusing, so let me try to summarize

Here is the order and results of my tests

SG2100 Motor > Traxis > Coolsat = no movement
SG2100 Motor > traxis = movement
SG2100 Motor > coolsat = no movment
SG2100 Motor > Traxis = no movement

Stab > traxis =movement
Stab > 8000 = no movement

SG2100 > traxis = no movement
Stab > traxis = no movement

Any ideas on what might be wrong? I tried resetting the sg2100 numerous times, also factory defaulted both receivers a few times. I tried diseqc control and Usals.

Btw, both receivers work fine getting a signal and tuning in stuff on my stationary setup and on my TS sat. So, the inputs are working, but for some reason, it seems the motor is flaking out for some reason.

Ok, maybe I've stumped a few besides myself....

Anyways, here is some progress and I really hope someone has an answer...

My traxis will work fine with the motor as long as nothing is slaved off of it; why is this?
Also, when I slave something off of it, for some reason it seizes the motor and I have to manually 0 it and reset it before the traxis will work (as long as nothing is slaved)

I have had a Traxis 3500 (and others) set up as Master and Slave, and they worked fine.
As the Master, you need to have it in "Stand-By" mode.
Are you using any switches?

Eliminate the variables.

Try a fresh short piece of coax from the Coolsat to the motor.
Make sure the AC is unplugged before connecting the coax to the motor.

Make sure the motor control in the Coolsat is enabled.

Retest.

Repeat with other receivers.

Can you slave competing receiver designs without blowing circuitry?

Just using a 22khz, but it's after the motor so it should not affect anything.

My 8000 works fine slaved off the 3500, it's just that the 3500 will not drive the motor if something is slaved off it. Just find it odd. I planned on using my traxis to do my scans and then get my info, put it in stand by like you mentioned and put the info into the 8000 of the feeds I want to watch.

I did get the 8000 to drive the motor today, last night I think the sg2100 just got so goofed up it wasn't going to do anything until I went out there to reset it and start over. It got dark quickly last night (always happens when I need to haul the tweaking rig out to the dishes) so I gave up early.

I also tried my Pansat 9200 slaved off the traxis and it produces the same results. The traxis just will not function with a receiver slaved off it.

I can live with it as I have a second line from this setup so I can run the 8000 off of it and still let the traxis drive the motor and do my scanning, but now I just intrigued on what is happening that caused the motor commands to not work if there is a slave.
