If you go to channel 148 there is an interactive NCAA Basketball tournament bracket challenge. It is kind of fun filling it out. Someone will win $1 million.

Is there an Apps folder?

There is an "Apps folder." (Dish Home, channel 100)
I recently listed the few apps that are still there. Nothing has changed since then:

And, my ViP222k does have apps. Channel 100 still shows Customer Support, Refer a Friend, Explore Premiums (in multiple places), TWC Weather, Weather Nation, and Game Finder. (Of course, none of those Explore Premiums apps actually work. Selecting any of them results in Attention E303 "The selection you made is currently unavailable.")
