Hey Darrell I have a dead player remote, it would probably work to play, but not to instant record etc...

Hi Don, long time no see, how are you? How is your remote? My fast forward button is dead, skip ahead and reverse buttons are near dead and they are the most used, most important functions. As far as the instant record, mine still works fine. What do you want for yours?

BTW, sorry your unit died, mine has worked flawless since I purchased it.
