New channel showed up tonight(Channel 9426)

Tonight I started receiving a new channel(9426) on my $9.99 HD package, UN1-HD. Is this a temporary or permanent thing? Does it have HD movies? Is it any good?

As to whether or not it's any good, that depends on what you like. They have Battle Star Gallactica (new) on Sunday nights in HD (current season but about 9 episodes behind), they have the Equalizer, they show movies and.. they have Knight Rider! :up

Seriously, overall I'd say the content is not too compelling (except that BSG is the best show on TV, imo). But it is nice to have it for the Olympics and I am glad to keep it on once my 622 is installed.

Hmm, true, but don't you have to go metallic with a new receiver anyway? I already did (Silver), but not sure if that was a prerequisite.

EVERYONE gets 9426 for the duration of the winter olympics; that includes $9.99 HDPak (older mpeg-2 boxes) customers and the new metallic (mpeg-4 boxes) customers.

Mpeg4 subscribers get it twice if you go by the photos Scott posted. One is an Mpeg2 feed, the other is a mpeg4 feed.... Well, the headers anyway.....
