I am considered a new customer with e*. I would need a superdish 105 for my locals. My question is, is their a signal advantage for having a dish 500 for the 110 and 119 birds and a superdish pointed directly at the 105 bird? If so, would an installer do this if i already had a dish 500 on a pole when he got there for the install? I saw on ebay you can get a dish 500 for around $25.

I seriously doubt an installer will mix a 500 and a SD. I only do that as a last resort due to line of sight requirements. It looks like hell having two dishes, first of all. Secondly, it's that much more work to run lines between the two dishes

It won't make any difference. The Superdish is still gonna point the same and get the same signal strength. It might get a few points more, but it won't be worth the effort.

I don't think there will be too much of a signal improvement with a 2-dish approach. If anything, wouldn't rainfade be LESS with a SD versus a 500? Assuming, of course, your AZ, EL, and skew settings are correct and the pole is plumb

Yup. The SD always points directly at the FSS bird. So IT'S strength will be the same no matter what.

The 110 & 119 signals should be just fine on a SD - a D500 is not lkely to be any better.

ESPN Deportes-Any info when?

Is E* still showing MLB Extra Inning in HD?
