I'm confident they won't have a season this year. Call it intuition or whatever. I just have a feeling.
Not having a full season in the NFL is not good. It's not like they play every day. Other sports could get away with it.I think they will have some sort of season. Maybe not a full season, but something. Too much money involved on both sides. Might have scab players.
Are you old enough to remember 1987?? It wasn't pretty....Might have scab players.
I don't know...I have a feeling when the players start missing paychecks, things will start happening.

And that is EXACTLY what the owners are banking on. And then the 95% that do not make Peyton Manning money will force the upper crust to cave in.
Pretty much what happened in the last strike. And that is EXACTLY what the owners are banking on. And then the 95% that do not make Peyton Manning money will force the upper crust to cave in.
If the NFL players don't play I would love to see scab players. Talk about funny!! It would be just as funny as watching the XFL Scramble. We watched the XFL game when we were on the road and a bunch of us just about wet our pants (thanks to the beer) when the two players did the XFL Scramble for the ball to determine choice of possession. One of the players dislocated his shoulder and was out for the game.

There won't be scab players. The NFL won't operate under threat of violating antitrust law unless forced to do so by a court. There is no union so there is no strike, that's when scab players would be involved.
Ten weeks into the owners' lockout of the players, Commissioner Roger Goodell noted Wednesday the negative effect the labor dispute is having on pro football.
"Clearly it has had an impact on the fans," Goodell said as the owners completed their spring meetings. "We see it in various metrics. There's been a noticeable change, TV ratings were down on the draft roughly 4 million people. NFL.com traffic (is down), we see that."
