no browser sound

My wifes hp pavilion dvb laptop has lost the sound playback from the browsers but will play system sounds. There is no playback from youtube or any other applications through FF, IE, and chrome. I have run the setup several times and the device manager shows no issues nor does it show any problems when I go into the driver information it shows fine. For what its worth its an IDT device and I am stumped, any thoughts out there?

happens here every once in a while, A reboot usually clears it up.

have you looked in IDT to see what default sound device is set? reason I ask is I also have IDT and have had a similar issue when set to headphones as default.

Fixed it, it ended up being an issue with adobe flash and after deleting and reinstalling it I have browser sound now but this is the same release from 2-11-11
