No News Channels in Welcome Pack?

My mother has the Welcome Pack...her old receiver was dying, so we put a new receiver on her account. No news channels...not even MSNBC, even though it appears under the Welcome Pack on the Dish website.

http://www.mydish.com/upgrades/english-packages/welcome/?WT.svl=welpack-button is the list in the welcome pack. I see MSNBC as the only news channel (except maybe bloomberg with business news)

You should contact dish to troubleshoot to be sure she receives MSNBC. It could be a dish pointing issue (might not see the right satellite).

Forgot about Bloomberg...she does get that one. But MSNBC shows up red in the program guide. She gets all the other channels listed in the Welcome Pack, so I don't think it's a dish pointing issue.

I will have to call Dish, I guess.

I guess MSNBC doesn't count since it isn't a news channel but the PR arm of the Liberal/Progressive government. LOL

If you are short of cash, Roku has free Fox News and CNN channels, not live but clips from the same day.

Her receiver may need a rehit or reauthorization. I would contact Dish along with telling them it is listed under the Welcome Pack on the site.
