Number of Boxes on Account

I have called Dish twice and gotten two different answers from two different CSRs - imagine that!

How many STBs can you have on one account?

One said 5 - the other 6 and I thought I read somewhere else 7.

i have 7 on my account, it would have been easier pulling teeth. I think the standard residential max allowed is 6 boxes or 12 tuners, if all 6 boxes are dual tuners

It is 6 receivers and the number of tuners is not considered. The one that said five may have meant that you can add up to 5 additional receivers to your account (first one plus five additional receivers equals six). Exceptions are made at times, obviously.
