I've been having a problem with my HR20-700 for a few weeks now. Shows seem to record ok but playback has had problems.
Sometimes, playing a recording will instantly display the "Delete Recording" prompt, as if it's finished playing the entire show.
Other times.. I'll be watching playback and the show just freezes. I can exit out to live TV, try to play again and "Delete Recording" pops up.
After rebooting I can watch the shows again (from the beginning) and the problem goes away, for a while.
I've been having to reboot pretty much every day to watch shows.
Anyone else having problems like this or know of a fix?
I called D*, twice, and they ended up just escalating it to the tech department. The CSR said they'll "send a new software" that will fix the problem. No time frame on when this software will appear.
My other DVR, HR21, hasn't had any problems.
