I have a new hdtv and have not upgraded to the 811 as of yet, I see so many post on the 811 about poor sd, is it really that bad or perhaps the
method used to connect.? I have an old 2700 receiver and the sd is
excellent with my Hitachi. any advice, wait on a better hdtv receiver.?

811

On my 811 it looks the same in SD as my 721 which is very good. Some people are just a little over the top on some of these things

Well wich Hitachi do you have? The VXXX series do a good job of upscaling SD through Component. THe other not as good. If you think your SD is good wait till you see HD. You can always hook S-video and Component or DVI and switch between the 2. Some here will tell you to switch between inpus on your TV, some will say no diff. It's really Chevy/Ford.

GET A 811 and you decide!

i think the biggest complaint is the artifacting... if you have already hooked a receiver up to the big screen you wont notice much of a sd differenc ein the 2 receivers.

Samsung and Remote Prob

My own conclusion: MPEG4 upgrade will be free.
