PPV rental won't expire

Back in December (2012), we rented Dark Knight Rises on PPV. It gave the usual warning that it will go away within 'x' days (30, I believe) or 24 hours after we hit play. No problem...

As of yesterday, it still appears in the rentals section. Won't play, you say, right ? Nope, it plays just fine. What's going on ?

Not all PPV's have restrictions, if you don't get the warning it will stay and play until you delete it.

That is a normal warning that comes usually on first run PPV movies. It should have expired after the 30 days or 24 hours after you finished like it stated, so that is a little odd you can still access it. Had you watched it prior to this as well?

Yes, we watched it the same or following day. In fact, I posted about this same movie when we tried to watch it "on demand" and it was unwatchable. Ended up renting it a 2nd time through one of the 510-540 HD channels in the middle of the night and recorded it to watch the following day. Knowing they expire, we watched it in the normal time frame.

I have two (at least) PPV movies that should have expired a year ago. They are on one of my EHD's and both played at the beginning of January this year. But being on the EHD can't be the reason, all other ones did expire.

That is an odd error indeed. I could send an authorization signal to your receiver and see if it removes it for you. (if you want) It won't charge you again for watching it, so totally up to you.
