Question on Directv Remotes

I'm currently an E* subscriber with a 622.

The 622 comes with a remote for tv2 that has a range of about 200' and can go through walls.

Does D* offer a similar remote with their standard DVR or do I have to come up with an alternate solution?

I plan on having both an HD DVR and a standard DVR in the same cabinet but need to control the standard DVR from another room.

The R16 has RF remote capability. It has an internal antenna, so the range may be limited.

Mounting two receivers in an oven is a good way to cook one or the other of them.

I have an rf capable remote that works well through plaster walls. If the cabinet is well ventilated, you should have no problems.

The cabinet is really a Sonus AV rack so ventilation is no problem
