Queston about smartcards and new HD locals

Ok here it goes. First about the new smart cards. I understand that everyone will be getting them in the mail. I have a vip722 and has had it about a year. I just figured Dish hadnt started mailing them in my area yet so didnt think much about it. The other day a friend and I were talking about Dish and he said that he received his last week and then just last night I find out that my mother_in_law recieved hers last week and she lives just a few houses down from me and I havent got mine yet. The only differance in my setup and my friends and mother in laws is that they get their service directly through Dish and mines bundled with my phone company(windstream). So do people with bundled packages get new smart cards?


The other thing.According to uplink reports(I know they arent put in stone) my HD locals(Lexington,Ky.) were put on the 77 sat and rumors of them being turned on on the 19th. I know im a current subscriper and supposely only new members get the EA. Im currently getting 110,119, and129 with just one dish on my house. When my HD locals are avaliable and I can switch to EA will I be able to still get all my channels with just one dish on my house? Iv noticed people mention sats. 61.5, 72, and 77 do those pick up all the channels 110,119, and 129 do, but just face a differant direction? I know ill have to get 77 to get my locals in HD.

I think you are not getting answers because no one knows for sure what will be done especially since nothing if available on 77 yet. There are seveal people who have had Dish 1000's and have had their HD locals put on 61.5 and didn't have to do too much else, but you do need a special type of smart card for 72 and 77 (not necessary for 61.5). There have been cases where customers were having problems and have gotten changed over to the EA dish. As a customer you may have to wait till your HD locals are made available till you can find out what will happen.

Yeah I would wait and then when you know for sure your HD locals are lit up, then you can go from there.
