Ok, so I just did something I never do, ever. Was at Costco and saw a deal on this 55" inch so just grabbed it. When I got home I did a few searches on this unit and could not find any reviews. I then went back to the Costco site where I saw 3 very not nice reviews. I am very bummed cuz it looks like a great set at the store with all the features I was looking for, but I don't want to settle for a crappy tv. I have not even taken it out of the box yet I'm so freaked by those 3 reviews.

Does anyone have any input on this set?

Take it back, buy a Plasma, Simplest, best advice I can give you.

If I read correctly this is just a costco version of the 7100, which has good reviews on Amazon. While I hate LED's, its seems to be fairly nice. In a bright room it will surely look great, but in a dark room the edge lit issues will rear their ugly head. Just a matter of how you use it, but now that you have it watch it a little and see what you think.

I just ordered this at Costco.com. It was a Cyber Monday 2013 deal. Bundled with 4 pairs of active 3D glasses, I paid about $1400 (taxes & shipping included)! That' nearly half of the original MSRP of $2499 (taxes & shipping excluded) according to the official Samsung website. I'll let you know my first impressions when it arrives!

I agree with the person that said to try it. If you do a Google search you will find reviews on this TV and from what I saw it looks pretty good for the money.

Have had it over a month now and love this TV. LED tech can be a risk since In a batch, some panels will be better than others. Seems like I got a real great one but it doesn't always work out that way despite the solid reviews for this specific model.
