Series 2 TiVo USB to Ethernet adaptor

I have a couple of friends who have the series 2 tivo Directivo, and want to switch to voip phone, There is a way to use a usb to ethernet adaptor and coonect to router to get tivo's info, has anyone successfully accomplished this?

Alot of people are having luck with there tivo connecting using VOIP. Check in a tivo community forum. As for connecting to your router on network, this can be done. It is hacking the receiver and I don't think we can discuss it here. Do a search for deals and database. Hope this helps and is still in lines with this forum's rules.
