Hi,..Wondering if anyone can advise here.
Dish Network sent me a smart card to match receiver ID to my system.
I installed smart card as requested.
Now the audio sound from one channel bleeds into all channels.
So I can hear infomercials on CNN at same time as audio sound of CNN.
Did all the unplug receiver, plug in receiver, pull out card etc…
I got to say this is driving me nuts!
Smart card eh?

Thanks,
Dave

Naw,...I live in a dead zone re cell. I will drive down the mountain and call em in AM.
Strange that effects right TV speaker only.
Hard to watch and listen to the news with the sound of 50's music playing at the same time....

I was doing just fine until I inserted the smart card...Maybe a dumb card will fix the issue?

Are you sure you didn't wiggle a wire loose from the back of the receiver while changing out the smart card? Due to the way the signal is sent down the cable from the dish (not all of it at one time, only the piece the receiver wants), it would be quite difficult (if not impossible) for the receiver to be bleeding the exact same audio on all channels, especially if it even effects channels that are on different satellites. Is it always the same audio, or does it change when you change channels? What happens if you put your old smart card in? What model receiver are we dealing with and how is it connected to your television or audio device? if it's a ViP series receiver, is there an OTA antenna connected?

I did not fool with wires etc.
Never had a smart card in receiver till now.
New equipment.
New to satellite TV as well since i live in the hills.
I just opened the door and put the smart card in.
The receiver then re booted as expected, and connected to sat.

One channel devoted to infomercials, audio only is heard on all channels in addition to the correct audio for a specific channel. Yes, same insane audio on all channels..
Note: I can turn off the receiver from remote and STILL hear the infomercial audio as the dish Network logo screen saver shows.
Of course I can tune to the infomercial channel and all sounds as it should.

I will need to look up the specs of receiver and other you ref.

Say, Dish Network just sent me email on this matter.
Looks like I need to jump through some hoops to fix.
Will now start based upon the instructions they sent.
Will let yall know what happens.
Can't take the infomercials any longer....

Hi Rey,..Thanks..
Well, Fixed issue....all audio good.
started typing this, and audio from infomercial started again after about 2 minutes.
Crap!

I see no model number on this receiver. Very small text on front reads mp20?????
I will need to pull it all out to check the back now. This will be a task on its own.

MOVED TO A NEW TIME ZONE..QUESTION?
