Supposed Free Month with Playstation Vue

I signed up for the free month of Playstation Vue promotion on 4 January. They charged my credit card on 11 January for a month of service on 11 January. Promptly canceled service but out $54.99. I am attempting to get in touch with Sony to get a refund. This happen to anyone else?

I'm only aware of free trial for a week.

That is all I have seen since launch as well.

They did have a promotional price offered for a short time on Ultra however. It made it go from $64h bucks to $54 for a years term. I may not have the particulars correct, but it was a very recent offer, and perhaps the OP is referring to that and got a little confused?

At one point last year I saw you could get a 30-day trail through the Playstation Store where you "purchase" and download the PS Vue app for a PS3 or PS4. But it's currently not listing the length of the free trial, though it very well could be for a month still.

If you follow that link at the bottom it says to go to : https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/faq/

On there it only mentions a 7 day free trial with billing starting at the end of it. Nothing about a month.

I do remember there was a banner advertising a month of free showtime, which could have been confusing to a new subscriber, but it was for that channel only as an add on. Not for the entire service.

Digging around, I've discovered that the banner ad Sony at one time had on the home page of the PS Store's website that appeared to offer a 30-day free trial of PS Vue was actually for Showtime, like you say. A lot of people were misled by it, and I even posted in this forum's main PS Vue about the 30-day trial offer for Vue, fooled by it myself.

Guess I misread the promotion. Wouldn't be the first time. My son got fooled also. Live and learn.
