I installed a new TBS 6902 card in my new Inspiron 3670 desktop. Downloaded the driver from the TBS site. Installed the software and everything looked OK. Checking in device manager the statement that the driver is not digitally signed and would not run was a surprise. After much time spent with various on line tricks, I decided to try the card and driver in my old desktop. It worked just fine. I can not use it in that old unit because of other problems with it. Reason for the new computer. Both computers have Windows 10 Home.
Any of you TBS card users have an idea as to what is wacko with this install?
 
You can add a Windows 7 partition to your hard drive and choose to boot either Win7 or Win10 upon boot. I am doing that very thing on my PC.

I wonder if Win7 could be run in a VM using Win10 as the host? Hasn't Win7 support been dropped? Anyway, the TBS website is showing that there's a Windows 10 driver for your card. You might've downloaded the wrong driver because there's 2 Windows drivers listed - one is specifically for Win10.

There is no Win7 VM for Win10. The only solution is to run Win7 on a separate computer or separate partition on a HDD.

I haven't tried it but there is virtualbox for Windows. I'll try it on my system and see if virtualbox on a Win10 host works with a Win7 guest. But, I don't know if the card will work in that arrangement. If not, I guess a dual boot setup would be the way to go.

Without any doubt I was using the correct win 10 version of the driver. If you read my original post you will see that I put the card in the old machine that has windows 10 on it and the TBS driver loads and it works OK. It makes me think there is something in the new computer that is the cause for the same driver not being allowed to work.
 
Ask over at the TBS forum, before going through any extreme measures. :)

Could be a bios setting. New computers using uefi do restrict what can be installed.
 
tried "test mode." As soon as computer booted next time, driver was dead.
TBS forum: Been waiting three days for an answer. Or has it been four.....
Guess I will return the card.
 
May be a BIOS issue with the new box...TBS drivers can be a real pain in the arse to deal with and getting help from them is difficult. Some of the older cards have issues with newer operating systems, but that does not seem to be your issue since the card and drivers work on a older WIN 10 machine. It seems that they only seem to put work into their Linux drivers and only provide Windows drivers as a necessity. BTW, just checked over at TBS forum and steven answered your post...

I did check TBS forum and did see the answer. Now that you mention it. The notify by email must not work or did not work. Never received notice of his answer. A little too late. After more attempts with this card than I can count, I gave up. It is packaged up ready to return to Amazon.

I reinstalled the card and used the bios "trick." The driver loads, works, and I can scan for channels. The only problem is my bud is "stuck" on 127. Well, not really stuck. I have a bird nest in the frame work with three baby birds with their mouths open waiting for more bugs from Mama. In about 10-12 days the nest should be empty and I can move it and do more scanning.
The only problem with the bios/uefi it states that is NOT a good way to leave it. Turn it back on and the driver dies again.
I have this info sent to TBSdtv and they are looking into the problem. Maybe we will get this thing to work correctly after all, maybe....
