The best picture quality of any movie ever on my tv

I got my new HR44 and I set it up and everything went fine except I had a small issue with my Onkyo receiver. My receiver is somewhere around 5 years old I think, I found my problem was had by others on the internet, so I decided it was just time to upgrade to a new receiver. I got a Yamaha 4k capable (even though I don't care about 4k) fully loaded receiver at Best Buy for $249.00 (it had huge 5 star reviews on Amazon). So, I got the HR44 going, the new receiver and my tv is brand new but you guys would probably consider it cheap. It is a RCA 65" 1080p led tv, no smart tv (I have Roku 3), no 3d, just the tv and I paid $500 at HH Gregg for it. So, with that being said I bought the movie The Martian from Directv ppv and it was the MOST incredible picture I have ever seen on a tv. The guy I was watching it with said "he had never seen a movie look so good on a tv before". I don't know if it was the satellite signal, the new receiver, the HR44 or the whole combo put together but it was breath taking!!!!!

Glad your happy with it and got it all set up the way you wanted ... I saw that movie a few weeks ago, pretty good, I enjoyed it !

DirecTV has arguably the best picture quality of any provider. That said, I have a 65" Samsung 4K and the upconversion from HD is awesome.

I just finished watching Man in the High Castle in 4K on Amazon and I was completely blown away by the possibilities this format has. I can't wait to see what DirecTV has planned.
