I agree, says there is more coming, we will see. How much does it cost to enter this space? Servers, fat pipe and contracts? With all of the 5, 7, 10 cent channels out there that cable/sat carries it is just a matter of time until somebody gets it right with an 8 dollar package that will satisfy millions.
It's a slow process to be sure. We have around 150-200 channels available to distribute a-la-carte at this time. We selected a handful of channels to launch with and will be adding more as we move forward. Being the only true global ALC service, it rubs the wrong way when a-la-carte is thrown around at mini packages and other things that aren't actually a-la-carte. With that logic, you could argue that MSOs offer ALC (they do have single channel add-ons after all). http://www.multichannel.com/news/next-tv/ideal-la-carte-package-17-channels/391453
