Sorry, that's disappointing.
Don't get me wrong, Voom is great.Jamey K said:How about being happy that Voom is apparently going to stay in business?
If the picture quality is that bad then how come everybody isn't complaining!softwiz said:Yeah 11 new channels and the picture quality has never been worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I don't analayze the picture quality with a fine tooth comb. I now have three HD sets, a 65" Mitsubish, a 52" RCA and a 49" Panasonic. The picture quality looks really good on all sets. I do have the protective shield, maybe that is making the difference.softwiz said:Yeah 11 new channels and the picture quality has never been worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think folks are presuming that Voom is using the E* model of adding channels and simply compressing existing ones further. Reality is that the Voom bird is using only a percentage of its existing capacity so they can add channels without impacting others. What happens if the sale of that sat finalizes is a whole seperate discussion.
