so i did have the hopper 3 setup. at this time all i have is the dish with the lnb and the node. if i wanted to come back to dish but only use the wally receiver, could i just hook that up to the node? or does the wally need a different setup?

Wallys cannot work on a hybrid dish system. Only Hopper equipment will work with a hybrid lnb and a node. To switch to a wally you would need a regular. 2 lnb and replace the node with a ground block. If you have more than one receiver you would need to run a line from the dish for every wally needed. Any setup requiring more than 3 wallys would then need a 44 switch and power inserter as well.

I seem to remember that 16 Wallys could be attached to one hybrid dish system. Is this a future capability?
