I was under the impression that PlatinumHD was free for new subscribers and it would be extended to the rest of us as well. At least that's what a CSR told me a month or so ago.
You may want to check your bill. Yesterday I did, and there it was. I went to chat support, and after a few back-and-forths, I was told that because I was such a great customer they would waive it for me. Is it a "if you don't ask we won't tell issue?"
I then moved on to their "Snowbird" policy, where they will do a dish mover install at your cabin or secondary residence. She said: "I'm pleased to inform you that your $99 dish mover install will be absolutely free". She then proceeded to tell me there were no appointments available. When I asked her to to confirm my account notes for the previous two times I was told that, she found me an appointment 3 months out that I was unable to accept due to work conflicts.
I hate to be a whiner, but it seems with Dish you really have to fight the system.
