It looks like his days are numbered with the Twins but there is a possibility that he won't be traded during the off-season.
I don't see him going to any NY team,Or Boston
He also has a no trade caluse..I would have said the Mets, but the Twins want Jesus Reyes...and they will NOT give him up that easily.
Santana, they also were saying that the METS would not deal, Reyes, Wreight or Beltran (has no trade caluse also).Reyes or Santana?
Same divison? no way.No way in hell the Twins trade him to Detroit.
The Tigers will be back in the World Series in 2008. With or without Santana.
Same divison? no way.
I think the Yankees may get him, and end up throwing more good money away, ala Pavano, Clemens, Randy Johnson, etc etc etc
Don't be suprised if the Yanks offer them Wang in the package.I agree that the Yankees have tended to throw good money away in the past, and those are three perfect examples, but this is a totally different situation.
This guy is one of the top two or three pitchers in the game and will be for the forseeable future. The Yankees desperately need pitching - especially a front-line starter. This would seem to be a good deal for them, and I would say that no matter what they have to give up to get him, short of A-Rod or Jeter.
Don't be suprised if the Yanks offer them Wang in the package.
Glad to see someone else here sees clearly. I can't even think of whom the Tigers would give up in this trade.
