I have an FSN Florida baseball feed on. At first I thought is was a Ku 4:2:2 feed so I put it on the Quali TV. The signal is at 48% with a very choppy video and audio. I then find out that it is a Ku 4:2:0 feed so I put it on the Traxis. Perfect, 74% signal, sharp and clear video and audio. I don't get it.....why is this happening? I have checked and rechecked all of the cables going into the Q and have even run the LNB direct into the Q, with same results. I even did a factory reset, no change. This is an occasional problem, most feeds run up into the mid 70s on the Q and everything is fine. The question is why poor on the Q and great on the Traxis, it's the same signal. Am I missing something on the Qs setup.

As usual, you valued opinions are appreciated.

I have the same issues on the 102g and classic NA. The 102g is always lower. I even have a Lifetime Ultra hooked up to the loop out of the 102g and it tends to have a higher SQ than the 102g.

Can't explain the Quali, but understand the frustration :)

few thoughts:

Have you tried varying the frequency slightly on the Quali?

Maybe the coax connector is not tight... not where you screw the cable into the back, but the one MOUNTED on the rear of the receiver?

Open the lid and check - it's possible the coax connector is broken inside the back of the Q.

(Or, maybe need new batteries in your remote? ) - :D

I checked the signal with my Coolsat 6000, and Twinhan 102G and I have no problems.
I also checked the signal information with my Broadlogic 2030 card and this is what I see:

Channel BER (Bit Error Rate): 7.990e-003
Viterbi Decoded BER: 3.277e-007
Reed Solomon Corrected Errors: 92
Reed Solomon Uncorrected Errors: 0
Viterbi Rate (FEC): 3/4
Signal To Noise Ratio: 4.21289

The "Reed Solomon Corrected Errors: 92" is continuously incrementing, So what I was thinking maybe the Quali TV's error correction can't correct some of the errors.
