622 Vs. 722

I'm sorry if this has been covered previously...but...what are the differences between the 622 and the 722? Is it really worth the upgrade? I've only had my 622 for 6 months or so...any suggestions/ideas/comparisons? Thanks!

Larger hard drive is main difference. You would not be able to upgrade if it has only been six months since you upgraded to the 622. Once you use Dish n it up, you cannot use it again for 12 months (counts if you were new customer as well). You may be able to if you purchased the 622.

I have both units and can't see a lot of difference except those mentioned.
I would probably spend my money with the external hard drive upgrade.

I find the 722 Closed Captions to work better.
(1) I can use the small size and not get mising portions of the characters.
(2) When scrolling the 622 I would sometimes lose portions of the text display.
(3) The 622 would sometimes repeat phrases and drop letter(s) off the end.

To me the display is crisper, a better resolution. Its hard to be quantitative because my Samsung HL-S5687 DLP does not let me turn off overscan and keep it off and the 622 is now on a CRT projector and I cannot make copies of the HDnet test pattern 12 minutes.

I'm not sure which is faster for some guides and menus--the 722 should be.
