Maybe in Louisiana, but not in CT. Its like watching a DIVX movie.

In Chicago, i have 2 feeds, my ota nbc, broadcasting in 1080i, and the directv feed also in 1080i. and as usual NBC hidef crap.

i noticed when the raiders/ chargers game was over and my local CBS switched to bonus coverage of the pats/ cowboys game- the picture on the ST HD channel was much nicer than the picture on my local CBS HD channel (los angeles). i get my locals via directv not OTA. but there was a definite -fairly big- difference. this was the first time i had a chance to compare the same two games on different channels since whatever the local affiliate is showing is normally blacked out on ST. wonder why there was such a big difference?

I've never known a channel to change resolution like that... you sure you didn't force 720p on your receiver and/or TV?
