Hopper 3 software version 389

You might try this: Unplug your Hopper from power. Next unplug the EHD. Now plug the Hopper back in and let it reboot. After reboot plug the EHD back in. Hopefully you see the media device plugged in slate pop up.

Not sure if it was this update, but when it was storming here last night, when i hit the guide button, at the bottom in blue it said " sat signal lost, click select to see streaming channels" . That is the first time i have seen that. Also when in the guide it showed if my ota channel was receiving a signal or not.

I don't know is 389 caused this but I noticed I can't transfer any shows on my EHD back to my hopper 3. I can watch shows that are on my EHD but I can't transfer them. I can transfer a show from my hopper 3 to the EHD though.

That's the Signal Protector that switches to Streaming for many channels if you lose satellite signal

Mine keep disconnecting and the magically connecting 2 minutes later. Getting a bit tired of it

I'm not having this problem with my only external drive.

Yesterday on a recorded show, a commercial came on that I wanted to watch again. I did the standard couple of backpresses to see it again. After the back presses the video restart but no volume at all. No matter how many backpresses go going forward would restart the sound.
Had to go to live, restart watching the show from the beginning to get the sound back. Didn't happen again since then

For a couple of days, I watched and deleted a few (well many) shows.
The next day, all the deleted show were back in the DVR guide. Showed as played but they were there non-the-least.

Anyone else see this. I watched a ton of the Chicago shows, deleted at the end and they were back.

yet another surprise feature from Dish.....why would they remove this feature when they still have SD programming
it seems like they try to find ways to drive customers away

I am sure it do to the updates and the ability to record live streams now. I am sure they will fix it with future updates.

Did that to no avail. There used to be a hit we could send to our receivers. I thought it was on DishAnywhere, but I don't see it there now. Do you remember where that was?

I did find a "Wake Up Receiver" button on MyDish Equipment. Trying that now.

That also didn't work. But I did see the USB device removal pop-up. When I plugged it back in again, I saw nothing. This is looking very familiar, like my 3rd EHD from a 612 never showed up but nevertheless the receiver could see it there once removed. Back in the day, a "hit" would fix it. No more at least with my 6TB Seagate.
