OTHER Reuters Live on SES-15?

I've been playing around with the Ku dish recently (after a long absence) and have been looking for some feeds based on what I see at Lyngsat. According to their chart, there should be a feed for Reuters Live on SES-15, 12122H -- can anyone confirm that this exists? I see a pedestal there on the spectrum analyzer, but the Edision OS Mio 4K+ isn't locking on to it. Just wondering if I'm chasing a ghost ...

Yes, Reuters is there at 12122 H 17000.

If you can't receive it, the Reuters feed on 129W is similar to what you can see on 87W Ku on the Newsource feeds.

That's good to know, thanks. I normally keep the dish parked on the Newsource transponder for quick access. I'd never heard of the Reuters feed so I was attempting to see what might be there. Sounds like I'm not missing much.

Just to wrap this up, was finally able to get a bead on the Reuters feed. I had been on the correct satellite for some time, but it was coming up with nothing during blind scans. Tonight I went into the Signal Finder and manually entered the transponder info -- it locked. Did a scan from there and all was well.

It sounds like you are using an Edision receiver. When I blind scan with mine, I receive only Reuters. But when I blind scan using my GT Media, I receive many data tps from this satellite as well.

Yes, I have an Edision OS Mio+ 4K box.My blind scans of SES-15 were the opposite of yours — it found the data transponders, but not Reuters. Weird stuff!

It's quite dependent on what driver you use (4x) and what firmware you use for the tuner (2x).

The Service List for Reuters on 129W Ku now shows a channel called REUTERS WNE. Scanning the transponder doesn't result in anything new, but the Reuters site describes WNE as follows:

World News Express
"Reuters World News Express provides video, lives, scripts, and story information from Reuters in a single integrated digital file. Digital files eliminate the need for fixed transmission times, and gives simultaneous and immediate access to the file for multiple users."

If you go to the Reuters website, you must log in to see anything to do with WNE. My GT Media receiver doesn't show anything extra other than the usual Reuters feed channel.

Yes, very likely unaccessible to us. With Knapsack you just saved the TS file and extracted it with a program they provided for download. Very unlikely us hobbyists will have access to anything like that.
