I occasionally mention my antennas/dishes at work, and I had a supervisor recommend fall protection when getting on my roof (it's not too steep) cuz I semi-frequently work on the antennas up there. Let's just say that we don't always heed the training we get at work, at homeDo I get danger pay for working on my dishes?
Years ago, I fell from the second step on my ladder to the ground. No damage; just knocked the wind out of me and felt foolish. I had been distracted by the adjustments I was doing to the dish. From that point, I have never installed a dish which I can't reach by standing on the ground including my C-band dish. It's a lot more fun and safe when you can quickly adjust the dish by standing on the ground so you tend to do the adjustments more frequently when they are needed.I occasionally mention my antennas/dishes at work, and I had a supervisor recommend fall protection when getting on my roof (it's not too steep) cuz I semi-frequently work on the antennas up there. I got lots of bobcats here. And 10 years ago, I did have mountain lion tracks. I mean this is heart of town, 1000 feet from a state road. We have had bears, but they usually wont relocated them, this close to people they usually terminate them.He ain't no kitty! I had been at the dishes about 15 minutes before. Two legged or 4?In the news not too far away from here this week have been multiple interactions with cougars. It's quite unusual. They've closed some hiking trails. A story of a cougar chasing a bicycle rider hundreds of feet. And another where a rider was cornered by multiple cougars. I prefer bears.

Need to stop, stand ground, make noise, display aggression. Their instinct is to chase & attack fleeing prey, same as dogs.In the news not too far away from here this week have been multiple interactions with cougars. It's quite unusual.
