Very true. At least it has the Scripps channels and the Weather Channel. Judging from all of the outages reported, I doubt tvropro gets to actually watch his system anyways.

Congratulations, I think...are there any channels in that package that you actually like? I would hate to send a check of pure profit each month to someone I hated so much. Hardly any of the channels in the Family Package actually cost Directv a dime.:confused:

If you can still find the philips hard drive dvr at walmart you wouldn't be disappointed. It has 3 inputs so you can record from 3 devices(at seperate times of course). Record from your dvb box on one input, the dsr410 from another input, and also from the internal digital tuner.

One more comment- since you did get your 410 from skyvision a master reset using the hidden menu is not really needed. After you get your service activated, be sure to ask programming center to set you up on web sams. Also, without a shadow of a doubt, Tim(the CSR manager) is the most helpful...
