The DesMoines one is a remap of the Miami CW whcih doesnt make sense as there is a CW in the market

I think for traverse city they're trying to do some channel changes for the FOX affiliate and the ABC affiliate. I'm not sure if this is true, but I think Dish is still saying that FOX is channel 33 even though they changed to channel 32 two years ago during the digital transition. I really don't know what's happening with the ABC affiliate. From what I know, it can be channel 29 or channel 8 depending on where you live in Northern Michigan.

I live inthe Des Moines market and 23 is KCWI out of DM and 24 is just CW and has diferent shows on it.

but why would they give you two CW affiliates?
Normally the only folks who have a imported CW are the markets without one on Dish

Thanks to Jeff Williamson at Echostar for getting guide Data for the Bounce channel on ota KBTV2 - 4.02 in Beaumont/Pt.Arthur ,Texas locals. I have been working with him and Kip Wilcoxson for about a month,back and forth with emails to get guide data for this channel. We finally have ota guide data for all ota channels in this local market ,except for 12.3 and 12.4. They won't ever have guide data because the channel owner that runs them(LONDON BROADCASTING) won't put out any psip or guide data for DISH to uplink.

Is there a way to see what markets have the OTA subchannel EPG data? Clicking on "The List" link at the top, I can't find any channels that are in the 10000's. And when I click on that specific spotbeam link in the uplink post, there is no channel 14074 listed. Is there another listing somewhere that lists all the OTA subchannel EPG data?

So for the subchannels, do yours actually have the programs listed, or does it just say "Digital Service" for everything?

That is interesting. We have a bunch of subchannels here in Chicago, and every single one of them say "Digital Service" or "No Info Available"

Try writing to the dishquality@echostar.com and ask them about getting guide data for your sub local channels. Be specific and tell them what each channel is called and what it does ,like Bounce, or Cw etc and request guide data. It might take several weeks and emails to get it updated ,if ever. But it doesn't hurt to ask about it. I did this for my home town locals and I got them to update the guide for the 4 Tbn sub channels and now the Bounce channel ,which is a sub channel of the local Fox channel. They even tried to get guide data for MyTx and Azteca sub channels ,but the local broadcaster ,which is owned by London Broadcasting , doesn't see any need to put out psip data or use tribune media to let DISH uplink the info to the sat. But they did try. I became an advocate for my home town locals and you might have to become an advocate for your home town locals.

After you scanned your locals(subchannels) did you do a "check switch"?.Sorry had to ask because if you if you did not do a "check switch" that maybe why some of your programming information is not showing up.


When you do a "check switch" it will redownload your programming guide information.

Yes, channel 8 is displaying a slate stating to go to www.befairheritage.com

Channel 8 is warning that channel 9 may be lost through re-negotiations. Channel 32 is a warning for channel 33.
